Is Family Resource Center a nonprofit organization? Family Resource Center is a nonprofit corporation with a 501(c)3 tax
status. The Center is registered as a Trust, a charitable organization and a nonprofit corporation with the Secretary of State of Washington State.
Is Family Resource Center the same as Multi-Service Center? No. Multi-Service Centers of North & East King County is the former name of Hopelink, the largest
Family Resource Center Association member. Hopelink’s administrative offices and their Redmond services, are located at the west end of Family Resource Center’s three building campus.
Hopelink provides emergency services for families, including assistance with shelter, food, financial and energy support and eviction prevention.
Family Resource Center, the Eastside’s human services campus, fosters partnerships and increases access to community services. FRC is home to 22 individual health and human service organizations.
Is the Family Resource Center the best place to ask questions about services in the area? The Family Resource Center has a wealth of services on site, but the first
best call for information about services is to "211" - that's 2-1-1 on your telephone dial. Trained information and referral specialists can give the most informed information about 2,600 agencies throughout
King County from 8 am to 8 pm daily. Access to a database of human services is also available on-line at www.crisisclinic.org.
What are the hours of the Center? Each agency sets its own hours. Refer to the Agencies listing for more information. The FRC Campus Administration offices are
generally open 8:30 am to 5 pm. Due to limited staff, the doors may be closed.
Is the Center near bus transportation? The Redmond Park & Ride is located at 161st and 83rd, two blocks south of and one half block west of the Center (see the map)
Do agencies pay less to lease at the Center? One of the goals of the Center is to provide a low-cost home for
nonprofits, so that services available to the community are based on community need and not on the ability of agencies to pay the current market rates for leases. The Center thus keeps lease rates as low as is possible to meet mortgage debt payments, building operating costs and administrative costs to meet the mission.
Overall the lease rate savings are 25% or greater than the market rate for
comparable larger spaces and the savings are 60% or greater for comparable small office spaces. Numbers of amenities which would cost extra on the open market are included for free, such as conference room space.
Can anyone rent FRC conference rooms? Conference rooms are leased to off-campus organizations at times which do not conflict with campus usage. Call the
administration office at (425) 869-6699 for information on availability and rates.
